The Audiology Program at Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Marlton offers a full range of hearing evaluation services. Dr. Steven Berman, an ASHA-certified Audiologist, provides comprehensive assessment of multiple types of hearing loss, central auditory processing, auditory hypersensitivity, balance, and related disorders in children and teens. He also recommends appropriate follow up and assistive technology as indicated (i.e. hearing aids, assistive hearing devices, and systems) and develops individualized aural rehabilitation programs. Timely and accurate assessment is critical, as hearing loss can contribute to delayed speech and language development. When hearing loss is detected through a hearing evaluation, families are referred to the necessary related professional and educational services to enhance their child’s development and maximize their potential.
